Transport Line Expansion & GBO Temperature Monitoring Unit Launch
Large numbers of diagnostic samples are transported daily. Couriers or delivery services, for example, are used by hospitals or doctors to send blood and tissue samples to the laboratory for tests. Safe transport is a prerequisite for constant high quality of samples.
In order to be able to provide a broad product range for safe sample transport, Greiner Bio-One has expanded the existing VACUETTE® Transport Line with the following product solutions:
· Transport containers in various sizes
· Transport bags
· Transport cartons and labels
· Cooler packs
Further to this, the Greiner Bio-One launched a Temperature Monitoring Unit in May this year, under the product name ThermoScan. The unit can be applied to monitor and record the transport temperature. The ThermoScan Temperature Monitoring Unit consists of several parts: the temperature logger, which is the actual sensor, the BlueDot reader, the driver and software as well as two clips for holding the logger.
